        The person behind the zero

        I'm Mayank Sharma, a filmmaker, photographer and creative director from Jaipur. Shunyaakar started as the name on my photographs. Now it's the house where my films and music get made, and this site is its open notebook.

        I write, direct, shoot and cut my own films. I shoot in real places, in the light they already have, and plan every frame before the camera rolls. Everything I learn along the way goes up here, from the first draft to the final grade.
